That's philosopher Slavoj Žižek speaking in the documentary The Pervert's Guide to Ideology, and his sentiments echo throughout the bonkers new Prime Video series, I'm a Virgo (he even momentarily voices an animated demon baby in the show). After all, as a character in I'm a Virgo declares at one point, "All art is propaganda." Films and series are selling ideologies beneath the cacophony of their spectacles, though some forms of storytelling help you hear through the noise. I'm a Virgo both helps you see propaganda at work in entertainment, and also succumbs to it.
