Art and ailments collide in Ken August Meyer's autobiographical documentary Angel Applicant. Ken has a rare disease called scleroderma, or more specifically systemic sclerosis, which causes a number of symptoms including the fusing of joints, the tightening and hardening of the skin, and decreased lung function. It's a chronic illness that gets progressively worse over time, and so far, there is no cure.
